Although Proof of Work, the validation mechanism used by Bitcoin, was a breakthrough in blockchain technology and DeFi, it presented itself as a huge threat for environmental sustainability.
Then Proof of Stake was created to make things better… well, at least in theory, and environmentally 🤔
